Creative Capability Fundamentals puts the ‘fun’ in function and digs deeper into our creativity toolkit by teaching the art of both storytelling and applied improvisation. Storytelling is the most powerful tool available to make ourselves more memorable and our ideas more appealing to others. Improvisation builds the capacity to respond to the unexpected and unplanned, and those who can do so will thrive in fast-paced and unpredictable environments.

Storytelling is the most powerful tool available to make ourselves more memorable and our ideas more appealing to others. Our brains are literally wired for stories. In this session we’ll explore how leveraging storytelling at work can propel you towards greater success -- through more engaging presentations, building faster rapport with clients, and quickly on-boarding colleagues with your project.

Applied Improvisation

Applied improvisation is a skill which builds competence, consciousness and confidence.

Competence - the ability to respond to the unexpected and unplanned using available resources

Consciousness - a lively awareness of possibilities, presence and listening

Confidence - a belief in one's own and other's abilities

If everything went as planned, we wouldn't need to improvise. But, it doesn't, so we do. In this workshop we share the secrets improvisers use to solve problems quickly and well on stage, to equip you to do the same at work. This is a practical approach to ensuring you don't just manage change or merely survive the unexpected, instead you and your team can seize opportunity and thrive.

  • How to collaborate and make other’s successful

  • Trusting your inner wisdom and your innate creativity

  • Relating to failure in a more productive way
